Torrey family history

Our History

The Torrey family's farming legacy began in 1626 in Connecticut, with John Torrey moving to Western New York in 1803. Since establishing our Elba headquarters in 1948, we've grown into one of the largest vegetable farms in the region, always guided by a respect for the land and a vision for the future.

Today, Torrey Farms is a leader in sustainable agriculture, blending time-honored traditions with state-of-the-art technology to ensure our fields thrive for generations to come.
